Earlier today Sads announced a new tour for this fall. It's set to begin in November and go through early December. They're calling it Sads tour「ANDROGYNY INSANITY」. @_@ They've also confirmed that they're recording, although they've still not yet specified if it's a single, mini album, or album and wether it will be a retail or live only release. It's surprising because I thought Sads' activites were going to settle down after JITB and yet they've added more and more shows. They'll be appearing at T.M.R's INAZUMA ROCK FES. 2010 in September, and last week announced a live show for September 30th. They even announced another live show today for September 15th a few hours after announcing the tour! @_@ At this point I figure that 2010's KUROYUME plans are off the table and delayed to next year unless Kiyo plans to do a KUROYUME live in December and debut some songs there rather than release something. I also figure he'll do another Birthday live too and a few end of the year lives as usual. I just don't see how there will be any time for KUROYUME recording with all that. I also read on some of the light and shade live reports that he wants to record solo this year. He said he wants to record another light and shade album. I don't see that happening either now. @_@

I really enjoyed watching the stream despite feeling like I watched three to four hours of karaoke. I'm not going to write too much about it since much of what I'd want to say is covered in the comments between lipo and me in the previous entry. I'm really happy that most of the musicians I was interested in had their performances streamed rather than omitted like the other acts. Not sure when or if we'll ever get a new DVD with new DEAD END concert footage but I was able to watch their entire set the other night and it was so good. I was happy to watch and listen to GOTHIC CIRCUS performed live. VAMPS was kind of enjoyable. I'm not saying I liked it but it wasn't that bad. MUCC performed their upcoming single FALLING DOWN which sounds so good. I'm trying my best to forget it because I think I'll be tired of it by the time it's released. :P It's catchy as hell. So yeah, I enjoyed it and hopefully we'll see this stream return perhaps with the WINTER JITB show if not then next summer show.
DEAD END - 摩天楼ゲーム[Live] -JACK IN THE BOX 2010 Summer-
That surprisingly is the only good video I could find. A few crazy people recorded the stream with a handheld camera and uploaded their footage to YouTube. @_@ I probably could have saved the stream but I was caught of guard when it started. I went to check the JITB website briefly to do some time conversion and noticed they were already streaming. I was expecting them to start later in the morning! I kind of forgot that the show goes on for hours and hours. They were showing karaoke when I began to watch but girugämesh was set to play soon so I didn't bother fooling with stream recorders and just watched the thing.

The JACK IN THE BOX 2010 SUMMER stream is up. They skipped the first four bands. When it came time for girugämesh's performance they showed 3 out of the 4 songs they performed. They cut out to some karaoke performance during the second song. I'm guessing they did that because it was a new song. Anyway, DEAD END is up next in 23 minutes if you're interested.

Okay, here's what I think...
SET 1
KARASU - YES - While I'm not overly enthusiastic about the band I am looking forward to their performance because of TATSUROU's involvement. Their first one track single wasn't anything special and the line up other than TATSUROU stinks, but TATSUROU's voice is enough of a draw... He's not even in my top 10 vocalists and yet he's really good enough to make me care about this band. If you would have told me back in early '09 that he was going to join another band alongside MUCC then I would have expected some better musicians alongside him. I want to see him do something with some Merry and D'ESPAIRSRAY members not the lame guys he ended up with. Anyway, at the very least it will be interesting to see if they cover anything.
LM.C - NO - Checked some videos on YouTube... AWFUL. They sound like a shitty version of UCHOTEN or something.
ZORO - NO - Wow, that was wierd... I did a YouTube search because I've never heard of these guys before and in the two PVs I've seen the bassist prances around in leg stockings and skirt like a girl! Do a search for "Zoro PV" and check it out. Yeah, whatever that doesn't faze me but it's the type of thing that makes you wonder... Does he like it or does he hate that he has to do it now because fans expect it? As for the music? It's terrible bottom of the barrel VK type stuff. It's hard to believe they're playing in such a large venue alongside the other musicians in this line up.
Alice Nine - NO - Wow, that was also wierd... Another YouTube search and holy crap the vocalist sounds exactly like Hyde... It's like they cloned him or something. Seriously, do a YouTube search and check out one or two of their videos. I can't believe how close he sounds to him. Honestly, they don't sound that awful. They're definitely not on the LM.C or ZORO level of suck but they're really boring.
girugämesh - YES - YES, HELL FUCKING YES. I've started listening to these guys about two weeks ago and shit they're so good. It's another one of those I hated them and then came to like them kind of things. The older stuff is what really turned me off a long time ago but then I saw some words from their fans bitching about how they've changed so I checked them out again and they're good! LOL... It's like MUCC all over again. Old fans are butthurt they're not doing some angry shit 100% of the time. Some of the old stuff is good, but I really prefer their music from the self titled album on. It's more diverse. I like loud heavy metal. I listen to a lot of it but bands are most interesting when they do it all. There needs to be a balance. Honestly, these guys deserve to be in the last set of bands. Take out BECKY♪♯and put them in that slot because they're actually good.
SET 2
DEAD END - YES - It's DEAD END enough said... Although, I'll say more... :P I would really like to hear a new song. I'm curious to see if MINATO is playing drums at the show. I'm not sure what's the deal with him and the band. Sometimes he's there and other times he's not...
44MAGNUM - YES - Not really a big 44 fan compared to other '80s Japanese metal bands but I've liked some of their music. I haven't listened to any of the new stuff and I'm not sure what the current set up is becauseI recall seeing two vocalists in the photos from last year, but they're good and at least worth checking out.
LOUDNESS - YES - Replacing KING-SHOW this year... Also not really big into LOUDNESS and I haven't listened to them in years. If I like anything it's mostly the older stuff. Still, they're good.
RYUICHI KAWAMURA - NO - LUNA SEA is one of my favorite bands but his solo stuff is awful. I even like the post SHINE stuff so the change in vocal tone isn't the problem although it does sound like his voice has gotten weaker and worse from what I've just seen on YouTube. Would have liked to see something like LUNA SEA instead but I'm sure that's a given for like mostly anyone who has any interest in him.
SID - NO - I still only like 2 songs from these guys. I've checked some of their recent videos and singles and the recent stuff is so bad. They're just really boring. It's hard to believe they're going to perform at TOKYO DOME later this year. I don't think I'll be watching them although I probably should so that I don't miss kyo. If I do watch then I hope they do Re:Dreamer or chapter 1.
SET 3
kyo - YES - kyo is in my top 10 vocalists list... No, I'm not going to bother thinking much more than that regarding the list, I just think he has to be in it. :P I'm surprised he's doing solo. NO BUG. NO D'ERLANGER. That's even with a new D'ERLANGER album due next month. I really like solo kyo too so I'm really looking forward to this.
BECKY♪♯ - NO - /me checks YouTube... No. She's kind of the odd one here. She doesn't sound bad... I just don't care. I'm not sure why she's in this set. This is the best set of the three so she's stacked against alot of good acts. I don't know much about her but apparently she's some half Brit half Japanese television personality that's been on Japanese TV for a long time. The Japanese folks interested in the show have goofed on her because of this from my understanding. Perhaps it would have been a better idea to get someone like OLIVIA in there instead.
acid android - NO - I have a soft spot for YUKIHIRO from his ZI:KILL and DIE IN CRIES days but this band is terrible. Admittedly, I'm forming my opinion from watching a few YouTube videos just now but it doesn't matter if his other songs are better because he can't sing at all.
TETSUYA - NO - Can't sing and he sounds really boring. Does he even play bass for his solo act? From the looks of it he doesn't and that's stupid when your voice sucks.
Ken - YES - I actually like Ken. I can't say the same for L'ARC or the other solo projects but he's the exception. I'm not going to say he's a good singer but there's something that I like about his voice on some songs. He's more tolerable than any of the other L'ARC guys when it comes to singing.
sads - YES - :D
VAMPS - NO - I can't stand HYDE's singing. From what I've just seen/heard they're pretty boring too even if you try to tune out his voice.
MUCC - YES - I really want to hear the new stuff. I hope they play the upcoming single and skip YAKUSOKU which I've gone back to not liking again. I also hope they skip FUZZ which has gotten kind of boring now. I understand it gets the crowd jumping but I've heard it so much over the last few years. They should put it in the closet for a few. This seems to be the perfect band to finish the show. They're not too light. They're not too heavy. They can be very light and very heavy though. Their music is diverse. I'm not going to say they're any more popular than SID or the L'ARC guys but it seems like a lot of people like MUCC.
CONCLUSION
Wow, it took too long to write this but by the time I came to that realization... Well, I had written so much and didn't want to see it go to waste. FUCK :D Anyhow, I think this is a really good line up. It's good to see them getting more acts outside the Danger Crue stable. I'm looking forward to the stream.
